About Us

  • Who is Home Instead Senior Care:

Home Instead Senior Care is an international network of franchises that provide non-medical assistance to help seniors age in place. We started a program  14 years ago that has now reached to over 700,000 seniors across North America with over 1.2 million gifts.

Last year, our local Home Instead Senior Care gave away over $5,000 in Fred Meyer gift cards to over 150 low-income seniors in our local area. This allowed these low-income seniors to purchase essential items for themselves, gas for their vehicle or even a gift for a loved one that they may not have been able to afford otherwise. So even the smallest gift is greatly appreciated and valued.

Who is Be A Santa To A Senior:

We started our Be A Santa To A Senior in 2005. We’ve tried many different venues over the years, from Christmas Trees in Walmart to live auctions at the Columbia Winery in Woodinville. Trying to run a full-time business AND a non-profit has become an art form! We’ve narrowed it down to asking our CAREGivers and staff if they want to participate in a small contribution per pay check, year round. Then, as a company, Home Instead Senior Care donates money throughout the year in honor of clients who have passed or as a thank you to folks who refer business to us. Then, we ask our clients and the community of referral sources that we work with over the year if they would like to participate. Home Instead does all the work and pays for anything it takes to put on this program so every penny raised goes directly to the seniors.

This program was established to brighten the lives of low-income and isolated senior during the holiday season. We have been participating in this program in the last 14 years that provides gifts to low income seniors in King and Pierce counties.

Who is Aging With Excellence (AWE):
